National planning policy requires consideration of heritage value in the decision making process. We help clients to recognise the heritage value of unlisted buildings so that careful renovation schemes can be achieved. Our Heritage Consultant has compiled the criteria by which these buildings are considered for some of our local planning authorities and has first hand experience of determining the value of such assets.
This row of farmworkers cottages is an example of where we have prepared a persuasive argument to the Council in support of a redevelopment to two dwellings in the open countryside. Development in such a location is only achievable under exceptional circumstances, one of which is heritage value.
